Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

We have two or three versions of this classic tail laying around our house. The one I like the best is the one where the first two pigs get eaten by the wolf after he blows their houses down (because pig is his favorite food), only to be eaten him self by the third little pig (because wolf is his favorite food). Our other favorite version is a Disney golden book with a more gentle approach, but a very well drawn and scary looking wolf. This is the book C is afraid of. well we have read it more than once so thought it about time we should find that old animation on the web. Pamela who happened to be tooling around with our camera caught the moment for us... great shot P!

Before and After

Well it has been a busy one at our house for some time now. We hosted Thanks Giving again this year, and once again our to-do list as before was way to long. But we did it we finally finish painting the kitchen which was our largest most ambitious job. The difference is rather dramatic. So now you know what I have been up to and if you look closely you can even see where I sit when I have time to go on line. Hope all of you had an enjoyable holiday. I am looking forward to a quiet Christmas at my sisters!

Summer 08

Well summer 08 is almost up and I now have the 3 gigs of photos to prove it. It was not easy getting much of any thing done this summer with the new baby. However carrying a camera and taking photos was something I could do so I took a lot of pictures. Here are my favorites I hope you enjoy them.
We spent a lot of time with family this summer, so as you will see there are lots of photos with children. Those few images that don’t have people in them (always my favorites) are also linked into Google
maps, check them out.

Summer Fashion

Well this is is it, the sling is were my daughter prefers to take most of her day time naps, most of which require me to walk lots. The other day my wife complained when I returned the baby to her covered with bagel crumbs... What can I say it's not always easy these days to find time to eat as of late. Forget about hot food this is of course what I signed up for. A acquaintance of ours has triplets, and every time I talk to her I feel like such a wimp!

Monster Snow Blower Action!

Finally after umpteen snow events this season my donated snow monster from Minnesota is alive and running. Although I think this 8 horse power beast is total over kill for my drive way, it was after all free. We have been in position of this monstrosity since the first of December, how ever due to a small string of mechanical issues (all to be expected our vintage 1979 model) we have only this morning been able to break her out and let her tear things up. Yeah it was fun, especially the bottom of the drive where the plow had been, she didn’t slow at all. Now I just have to learn check the wind direction before I take her out for a spin… the wind blow a lot of the blown snow back at me and I came in looking like frosty.

2007 Photo Montage and Merry New Year from Scott

Twelve pictures twelve months. I tried to choose images that best represent our lives each month. Although now that I look at it, there is no way any of it will make any sense to you. Best wishes to all of you in the New Year.

Mexico in July?

Last month I traveled to Mexico with my wife and her entire family to celebrate her parents 40th anniversary. It was a load of fun and I can now say I have an appreciation for Tequila. We visited both Tlaquepaque and Ajijic. Neither of which is considered a tourist area, so I found my self with the daunting task of dusting off my 20 year old (high school level) knowledge of Spanish, which I found surprisingly useable… although just barely. Any hoo while sober I took some PHOTOS and thought you might enjoy looking at them.

Balloons???

This is the third time this has happened so I figured it was time to share. As it goes it’s Sunday night and we are eating dinner in our kitchen when all of the sudden “C” starts to holler “Balloon Balloon!!” To which my wife and I look at him and think WTF is he talking about? But this is the third time so by now we know to turn around and we will see hot air balloons floating in the sky over our back yard. Any how “C’s” enthusiasm is shared by all of us and we all race out the door and hang out in our yard to see all of them (4 to 6) pass. I suspect our neighbors think we are a little juvenile, over some thing I am sure they have seen many time before, but to us it is still very new and novel. Any hoo, here is “C” sporting the fat lip sitting on my lap watching the air parade.
