question.

-----We will be gettin an HDTV next Heres my question.....

If a show comes on and it says "available in HD" or whatever does the HD just automatically kick on our new HDTV, or will we havta activate it every time we see one of those kind of things??

I rarely watch TV, I even skim over the articles in Popular Mechanics about TV technoly.
I would say read the owners manual from your tv.
mabye while your in the Can?!

There are usually separate HD channels on cable. If you are using an antenna then shows in HD are simply broadcast that way, no need to do any thing other than watch a really great picture.

I watch the weather when I get the time... usually 3 or 4 times a week.

Yeah, we have cable and I didnt think about there being diff. channels for some of the HD channels.

Im not a total TV junkie these days, but I do have my shows I like to see.

I will definitely be checking out the manual, maybe while in the can, thanks guys!
