Rain, Rain, Go Away

I rolled out of bed this morning at the ass crack of dawn 4:59 to go for a bike ride. I wanted to get to Busse Woods before it got too hot, and crowded. I had my little breakfast, and got dressed in my not so fancy riding attire, filled my camelbak and out the door.... into rain.
Now, it's not that I'm a puss or anything, and riding in the rain is sorta fun, but not terribly safe, and definatly not super good for the bike.
Damn
Damn
Damn
sorry, just venting,
another reason to not be super stoked by rain is: lawn work = not fun

You should have gone riding any ways, if any thing else it would make for a good excuse later to give some TLC to your ride.

i've got $$ paying projects that I didn't want to take rare(ish) shop time away from.
but I think I'll be kickin myself all day for not just going...

I dont know a damn thing about bikes, but I think riding in the rain would have been fun minus the trying to stop part.

Riding in the rain is definitely risky, especially if you are riding on major roads and not trails. I don't know about you, but I don't have windshield wipers on my eyeglasses yet. Makes it tough.

Not that I haven't been blowing off my bike for years now. Too bad. Between smoking, and having a difficult time getting it out of the basement, my life isn't too conducive to proper biking. Something I'd love to et back into.

riding in the rain is fun, but definatly hard to stop. and the glasses thing is crap-tacular.
Michael, I started bikeing when I quit smoking, so I got over that hurdle, you can too....

I find that whenever I quit smoking there is a direct correlation to how much I ride. Need to quit, just don't want to, at all. Like it too fucking much. Not to mention the stress relief aspects of the habit.

finally managed to get my ride in this morning,
yipee,
today's 32 miles makes 962 for the year.

Does that mean you've spanked the monkey 962 times since January 1???

Not knocking it. It's my favorite hobby too.
