A $100,000* CHALLENGE TO THE WORLD TO PROVE US WRONG:
If all fossil fuels and their derivatives, as well as trees for paper and construction were banned in order to save the planet, reverse the Greenhouse Effect and stop deforestation;

Then there is only one known anually renewable natural resource that is capable of providing the overall majority of the world's paper, and textiles; meet all of the world's transportation, industrial and home energy needs, while simultaneously reducing pollution, rebuilding the soil, and cleaning the atmosphere all at the same time...

And that substance is-the same one that did it all before-

CANNABIS HEMP...MARIJUANA!

You do realize of course that $100,000 is not even chump change to a timber and paper company like GP.

I know this is gonna sound pretty bad, but a lot of the people you see that are gung ho about legalizing pot, look like they are just trying to make it easier to score.

I have to agree with Pete on this one...

strangly, and to refute my own point, I would actaully vote FOR legalization, mainly cause we could tax it, and it would take revanue away from illegal circles and put back into legit circulation

the only way to truely control a substance is to legalize it and tax it.

I really have no problem with using hemp for any purposes. I'm not against legalization. I wonder if the price of pot would go up if hemp were used for industrial purposes. The industries would need a lot of it. While more of it would be grown, of course, the whole supply and demand system might drive up the price. There are a lot of economic variables, but I think it'd be funny if it were legalized and put to "productive use" and these bleary-eyed heshers had to pay MORE for their weed.

I just think the whole "be careful what you wish for" aspect would be funny.

It's true Martin.

yea,but industrial hemp actually only contains trace amounts of thc and does not get it's smokers high. why this shit is banned is a mystery. the arguement that the dea gives is that the marijuana growers would hide their crops amongst the industrial hemp. that is a bogus arguement because the industrial hemp would cross pollinate the marijuana and destroy the crop. the book i've quoted from contains this information and much much more. and, unlike the info put out by the drug warriors, has an extensive bibliography.

It's true, the pot Jefferson used to grow would be more likely to give you a nagging cough than a mediocre buzz.

By Jefferson I mean Thomas, i.e. the two dollar bill, the declaration of independence, and all the good shit. Monticello owning slave stupping founding father!

yea and here is a thought, Jefferson was very anti tobbaco, and yet he had written about exchanging smoking tinctures with george washington. that may say something about the quality of hemp he was growing in addition to his cordage.
