Al Gore's kid busted

LAGUNA NIGUEL, California (AP) - Al Gore's son was pulled over for speeding on a California freeway early Wednesday and arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana and prescription drugs, authorities said.

Al Gore III, 24, was driving a blue Toyota Prius about 100 mph south on the San Diego Freeway when he was pulled over by sheriff's deputies who said they smelled marijuana, said Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino.

The deputies searched the car and found less than an ounce of marijuana along with Xanax, Valium, Vicodin and Adderall, which is used for attention deficit disorder, Amormino said.

"He does not have a prescription for any of those drugs," Amormino said.

Gore was being held in the men's central jail in Santa Ana on $20,000 bail.

B.F.D.
if it was up to me I would legalize most those drugs.

What I really want to hear about is everyone opinion of Scooter Libby...

I don't give a fidlers shit what JR. Gore is transporting in his car. Was he high while driving? is he endagering the lives of other people on the road, or is he just on the way to a party.

First of all, I'm impressed the Prius can hit triple digits.
Second, this is Al Gore's kid. Not a public figure. That being said, I don't want to hear about Pres. Bush's booze hound daughters going on another bender. If Al Gore's kid is off limits for public scrutiny, so are any other politicians kids and vice versa.
I don't think that other OMIers would impugn our collective parents abilities based on our indescretions.
In other words; would you say Offman X's parents were bad people because Offmen X engaged in illegal behavior.
Probably not, one would say that Offman X did what he did of his own volition and probably meant no harm and his parents were great people and their kid was a fuckup.

I can use my own life as an example. I was raised by an outstanding man, my Grandfather. I was raised by 2 outstanding women,my Grandmother and my Mom. They did alright raising me.

But I have had some deep, dark valleys in my life, especially with drugs, even up to a couple years ago. Ive only been fully clean and sober for a few years.

My upbringing had nothing to do with it. I was the jackass...it was all me.

damnit, forgot to mention Ive been clean from booze far much longer than I have drugs.
