Happy Birthday America.

---I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to the greatest nation on the face of the Earth and that I hope all Offmen have a safe and Happy 4th.

Does anyone have any special plans? Gonna watch any firework displays? Go for a bike ride? Anything?---

I was awoke this morning at 5am by fire works, however I am told they were not for Americas independence but instead a local bull fight. I have only plans for a long taxi ride and then to drink lots!

um, scott, where are you?

Bullfight? I hope that is some colloquialism for something other than a real live actual bullfight.

My last comment was made assuming you were in the U.S.

Back to the initial post. Peter grilled up some awesome 'burgers, we headed back to our house and then walked over to the courthouse lawn across from the racetrack and watched some pretty neat-o fireworks. Maeve, our 2.5 year old, was interested in the fireworks for about 10 minutes and then was more interested in pretending a glow stick she had was a magic wand. Bridget, our 14 month old, had her eyes glued to the sky most of the time, absolutely mesmerized.
Then there was a guy handing out flyers for Jews for Jesus on our way home.

My 4 year old Ava HATES fireworks at this point in her life. She does not like the loudness at all right now.

No for real our hotel bartender (who was up squeezing oranges) said that the fireworks were for a bull fight. I took a walk up on to the roof and could see them being launched from in front of the local church where people were lining up for morning mass.... at 6am. We were in Tlaquepaque for my in-laws 40th wedding anniversary.
