After reading the last post I set the security up to the highest level on IE, allowed and then disallowed pop ups and then logged on again spyware doctor running. I couldn't duplicate the symptoms after multiple attempts. What version of IE are you running? I performed the above with IE version 6.0. The only time I got any type of failure was when I completely blocked cookies. The error message just told me to allow cookies.
Long and short of it, I've got no idea right now.
You're better off using Firefox anyway. I like it a lot better than IE.

Thanks Mike, I appreciate it. I am running IE 7.0, the newest version. I think I am gonna go with Firefox now anyways...

The only thing I found was the following of known outstanding issues, not sure if this is what you were experiencing:

"Users who have their Internet Explorer security settings set to “High” may have trouble logging in. After sigining in, they see a “Click here to continue” link that does nothing. One workaround is to right-click on this link and choose “Open in a new window.” — latest update on Saturday, December 09, 2006 "
