Goth Fest

so Nine Inch Nails is playing here in Chicago this weekend, I'm not going but I just heard the commercial on the Q101.
Anyway, "Special Guest" Bauhaus is appearing as well.
I was quite amused to hear that Bauhaus was opening for NIN. little Trent has come along way from his angry at the girl days of Pretty Hate Machine.

silence, the boys are reading

I had the chance to head up there to see the show, but I passed on the chance months ago, just not my thing anymore. But anyways, it is weird to hear that such a legendary band like Bauhaus is "opening" for NIN. Odd, very odd.

Is it really truly Bauhaus? Like Peter Murphy and all? Hard to believe. They must need to put the kids through college or something.

Im pretty sure it is the original lineup. Yeah, they must be hard up for green, seems P. Murphy would need a walker on stage, but no more so than say Mick Jagger.

Jagger can always use his lips.

Just picked up the Legend of Johnny Cash and freaked over the Hurt cover. I'd only heard pieces of that on the radio. Talk about a benchmark of success for Trent, having the Man in Black cover your tune shortly before passing on. Damn.
