While exploring the web site I found this little blurb, did you know:
The Reverend Horton Heat
Al produced their album, Liquor In The Front, Poker In The Rear.
He also played pedal, steel, piano and did some backup vocals.
Interestingly enough, he was introduced to the group by Gibby Haynes (Butthole Surfers)
who also did vocals to Jesus Built My Hotrod.
Yeah, I knew that Al prodiced the Revs work, they are close friends. The Rev is kick ass, great friggin psychobilly.
I heard the new album was out, now I will havat go check it out myself...Ill havta steal some off the internet somewhere.
Last relatively good Ministry album I heard was Psalm 69. I did see a anti-W CD at Tower Records that had a Ministry song on it. I don't listen to Ministry for some strung out freaks political commentary, though. I just want loud, angry music that says "Fuck YOU!" to everybody.
next time you come over I'll play it for you, it's pretty....
Yeah, Ministry just doesnt seem like the kind of band I wanna hear political talk from...
It is probably just part of their marketing image.
yea, he's getting a little long in the tooth for burgundy hair streaks. but heroin is expensive stuff
he kicked the H years ago, as far as I know, Grandpa Al is clean as you or I.....ok maybe me, I know you and your booze mr. drinkie poo
I wonder if he smokes cigarettes?
i know my teenagers really appriciated the line "fuck george bush" in stigmata, but your right i really only listen to ministry when i want to listen to some hard core, "fuck the world" music
Eric,
I resemble that remark
Hehehehe, hicup
The Light Pours Out of Me, a cover song originally by Magazine on the Animositisomina album is quite good… the original is even better, only slightly. In my opinion a gem amongst recent work, by Al and the boyz.
