Old man winter has set in. At 5 PM it was minus 21 and falling. I hate winter. It doesnt allow me to get out to walk, bike ride or much of anything else. Today wasnt a bad day. Scott and I got the blog lined up a bit more and in a much better way. I became generally concerened for my Mother today because she has been friggin' obsessed with dead relatives lately, especially her Dad, my Papa.

It is all odd.

Anyways, tried the Goose Island Root Beer today and I was really let down: it just wasnt very good.

It's definitely cold here in Chicago too but not that damn cold! I know we're both looking forward to warmer weather—I can't wait to ride my bike again. I bought a new one last year and spent a mint on it. I'm especially looking forward to wearing my Bell helmet. Not only does it match my bike—it's so stylish I can wear it just about anywhere! I wore it the whole car ride home from the bike shop and didn't take it off until later that evening. Just ask Kris. She'll tell you how crazy I am! :)

By the way, I think A&W Root Beer rocks. I like it much better than Barq's. Thanks for the warning about Goose Island—I'll definitely steer clear of it!

Sprecher root beer from Wisconsin is the best I've ever put in my mouth, and I tasted about 15 for a root beer float at one of jobs.

The other day when it was freezing the heat went out at my restaurant. we had guests wearing coats while eating we warned them, they said no problem and sat down. then proceeded to bitch and whine about how cold it was. Come on people it 12 degrees out side and your in a room made of 100 year old glass. cut us a liitle slack.

I too look forward to getting back on the bike.

Hey Pete, are you riding Road or Dirt?... John and I used to ride a lot of dirt, it was great. My dirt ride and its flat tires are now configured for urban assault as I used to ride her to school and work when Pamela and I used to live in the city…. I loved it! Currently I am looking to fix those tires and get one of these, http://www.chariotcarriers.com/html_english/sidecarrier.htm and start riding again in the spring. We have a great bike trail just feet from my house that will take you to either Wisconsin or Chicago. Maybe we could ride together some time?
