Maslov Gets Married - Poobah to Visit Chi-Town

Fuck. I just wrote a whole posting about coming to town and fucked it up trying to insert a picture.

The posting was very clever and included important dates and information about Melissa and I coming home for a visit. Thoughts on all of us getting together. Beginnings of a plan for a visit. And then I tried to insert a picture of me in a turban and screwed it all up.

Well, here's the blasted picture of me at my friend Steve Singh Gulati's Sikh wedding where I was given the honor of wearing a properly wrapped turban. It was awesome. I doubt that this attire will work at Mark's wedding.

Here's the important facts:

Melissa and I arrive in Chicago ready to visit and hang out on Monday 2/11.

Mark's rehearsal dinner is Friday 2/15, but we can skip it if that's the night to get us all together.

He get's married on 2/16 and we leave the next morning.

When and where can we get a bunch of us together? Can someone host? Should it be in a restaurant? Let's get some ideas and dates going, as our visit is coming up fast.

I'm looking foward to seeing a bunch of you again soon.

Congrats to Mark.
Nice Turban Pic.
from this I would guess you have aged about ZERO in the last 10 years.

lookin' forward to seeing you, Our shop is closed Tuesday. So that would be the best night for me. Otherwise we close @ 8 most nights, so going out is not out of the question.

So is the color of your proper turban significant? I am jealous to think of all the great Indian food you must have ate. So Mark is getting married, well I guess that rules out him being gay… Tehehehe! Really that is wonderful, I do whish him the very best. So how many of us can we dig up and get together? My schedule is open that week, so any day will due. Where are you staying? I am fine choosing restaurant central to all of us, or I am more than willing offer my place how ever my location might be a deal breaker, but it does allow for drinking at a discounted rate.

Ive never eaten Indian food, yuck. Mike, you do look great, I wanted to add that to my post! Id love to see you but there is no way for me. The 15th is when we take possession of our new place and we will have lots of painting and things like that to do before we move in a week or so later.

Plus, even if I wanted to, I couldnt get there. My car is in great condition, but does have over 105,000 miles on it, a lot of those miles added on because of 2 trips to Chicago in the past. I just cant tag on more miles like that.

Im glad youve gotten some quick answers out of some of these bozos', with me it took forever when it came to my trip. Im sure you'll be able to see everyone you want.

But again, its good to see your smiling face, you look really good and I Love Ya!

Okay, so here's an awful question. Who's sickboy? I've lost track of all the monikers since I haven't been around in a while.
Pete - Tuesday could work well, and sounds like it would be fine for Scott too.
Scott - thanks for offering your house. That could work for us if it works well for the others. Besides Illinois, I'm not sure exactly where most of you are living these days.

So - let's say a strong tentative on Tuesday evening, with a potential for either Scott's place or a restaurant. We're staying mainly in Rogers Park. Scott - you're in Elgin these days, right?

I'll add another post at the top of the main blog with this information.

Scott, your comment about Mark's um.. preference was LOL.
E, how would you know you don't dig Indian chow unless you try it? Couscous is yumtastic.
